Geosys and Russian Key Players of the Ag insurance market hold an Annual Summit, in France – Toulouse
This past September, Geosys hosted its Annual Summit with the Nationwide Association of Agricultural Insurance (NAAI) in Toulouse, France, bringing together leading experts and key players in the Russian Ag insurance market.
While Russia boasts a record-high wheat production in 2016 and is one of the largest global wheat exporter, crop insurance in Russia is trending up to meet the challenges of productive Agriculture.
NAAI and Geosys have gone through a multi-year partnership, in order to implement best management practices, new working methods and operational processes – in particular for risk assessment, underwriting and loss adjustment – in an effort to bring more standard insurance services to farmers.
This year’s summit brought together a unique delegation with members of key organizations such as the Russian Ministry of Finances, the Bank of Russia and media specializing in agriculture and finance.
The summit focused on future services and projects that will best serve Russian farmers – with a particular focus on the Agriquest™ crop monitoring tool. The team at Geosys shared some of its latest innovations and provided the delegates an opportunity to visit the company’s technical center.
The Marsh company, a global leader in Ag insurance – represented by Matthieu Tourvieille – gave a presentation as well to share some insights on the French insurance market.
Inessa Vourey, CIS Sales Manager located in the Krasnodar region, leads the work for Geosys in Russia and brings deep knowledge of local farming practices and growing conditions to the market.
