EarthDaily New Hire Dr. Keith Beckett

EarthDaily Analytics Corp. today announced the hire of Dr. Keith Beckett, Ph.D., as the new Head of Calibration and Validation (Cal/Val). EarthDaily Analytics is a data and analytics company that develops world-first technologies in data services, satellite processing, machine learning, and actionable insights. EarthDaily Analytics offers customers across multiple industries the ability to verify, validate, predict, and forecast using advanced earth observation imaging and enhanced geospatial analytics.

Dr. Beckett has more than 20 years of experience leading innovative calibration and validation solutions for many satellite systems.

With his extensive experience in Cal/Val and Product Management, Dr. Beckett has developed a thorough understanding of the value of analytics ready data to the end customer. He will be applying his expertise to offer world-leading EarthPipeline services to satellite operators and towards the upcoming EarthDaily constellation in 2023.

Dr. Beckett studied at the University of Victoria, and did his PhD at the University of Liverpool. His extensive career includes underwater acoustics, airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and a multitude of international space-based earth observation missions.  He has previously worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at MDA where he led the Calibration and Validation of the RapidEye Constellation, and at Planet as Principal Remote Sensing Scientist and Senior Product Manager.

The Head of Cal/Val will be responsible for the architecture, development, and management of calibration and validation services that guarantee optimal sensor characterization and calibration of the EarthPipeline supported suite of sensors within the EarthDaily Analytics Engineering Department.
