Geosys and Tokio Marine Expand Partnership to Improve Agricultural Insurance Offer in Brazil

The new 5-year contract will bring solutions that allow greater proactive decision making

MINNEAPOLIS (October 1, 2020) –  Geosys  recently extended its contract with Tokio Marine Seguradora for a new 5-year agreement expanding services to include proactive data on a field-level to improve and optimize its flow of activities related to rural insurance.

The new agreement includes the Croptical platform, Geosys APIs and automated dashboards – as well as  Agriquest  and customized reports. While Agriquest provides Tokio Marine with regional level analysis based on satellite imagery data and weather models, the Croptical platform provides the company with field-level insights that proactively enable more assertive decision-making. Weather data also helps the company plan, prepare and verify when events impact crops.

“Tokio Marine is leading the digital transformation of agricultural insurance,” said Matthieu Hyrien, vice president of business development and marketing at Geosys. “By using proven agricultural technology, they are able to expand their services in an innovative way. The Brazilian agricultural market is fundamental to the world and farmers need high quality insurance offers to be successful. We are proud to partner with Tokio Marine and help Brazilian farmers thrive.”

“The partnership with Geosys brings us even more precision to perform the mapping of the insured areas and has been of great value to our activity in this segment,” said Joaquim Neto, superintendent of agro products at Tokio Marine.
