In Iowa, for example, NDVI profiles indicate overall favorable crop conditions, although not at the level of the best seasons ②. Conditions will remain closely monitored over the coming weeks as crops move through their most critical development stages.

Yes

 Soil moisture remains high across Brazil's wheat-growing region ①, with rainfall in Paraná among the highest recorded over the past ten years ②.

Argentina - Are moisture conditions favorable for wheat and barley?

Yes

 Following beneficial rainfall across western Argentina's wheat-growing region in recent days ①, above-average precipitation is now expected over the eastern areas ②. These conditions should provide a favorable start for the wheat and barley growing season.

 While the ECMWF continues to forecast dry conditions across Australia's wheat-growing region ①, the GFS model indicates beneficial rainfall over Western Australia, South Australia, and Victoria ②.

Europe - Will conditions remain highly unfavorable for corn?

Yes

 Weather conditions are expected to remain unfavorable for corn over the coming days according to the ECMWF, with continued dry conditions ① and very high temperatures ②.

Europe - Is corn vigor collapsing in Italy under persistent hot and dry conditions?

No

 Vegetation indices across the core corn-producing region in northern Italy remain close to average ① and well above the levels observed in 2022, despite drought conditions of similar intensity ②.

Ukraine - Is there a risk of further deterioration in corn conditions?

Yes

 At this stage, vegetation indices across the core corn-producing region remain close to average ①. NDVI profiles are below the excellent 2021 and 2023 seasons but remain well above the poor 2024 campaign ②. Moisture conditions are still adequate, although the ongoing dry spell will need to be closely monitored to assess whether conditions begin to resemble the 2024 season.
