Yes

 Vegetation indices are below average across a significant part of the wheat area ①, with NDVI values lower than those observed during the late 2022 season ②, highlighting ongoing sowing delays.

USA - Is the rainfall expected in the coming days across the spring wheat area sufficient?

No

 Precipitation is expected to be above average across part of the spring wheat area ①. However, despite these rains, the poor 2021 season remains the closest analogue ②. To be monitored.

USA - Does the moisture situation remain tight across a large part of the Corn Belt?

Yes

 Although we are not concerned at this stage, soil moisture levels are low from North Dakota to Illinois ①. Values across the western Corn Belt have been below average since the beginning of March ②.

Brazil - Are vegetation indices still satisfactory in Mato Grosso?

Yes

 Vegetation indices remain near or above average ①, with curves consistent with the strong safrinha corn seasons of 2020 and 2023 ②.

Brazil - Is the moisture situation satisfactory in the southern part of the country?

Yes

 Soil moisture levels observed in recent days, near or above average in Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul ①, are expected to remain satisfactory in the coming days ② for both wheat and safrinha corn.

Argentina - Do vegetation indices indicate that the corn and soybean cycles are nearly complete?

Yes

 Vegetation indices are below average across a significant share of the corn and soybean areas ①, with NDVI values indicating that crops are in the final stages of maturation and being harvested rapidly, at a pace similar to that observed in 2024 and 2022 ②.

Australia - Has the improvement in moisture conditions in the East already allowed crop conditions to return to normal?

No

 Despite recent rainfall, vegetation indices in New South Wales and Queensland remain below average ①, with NDVI curves as unfavorable as those observed in 2019 ②. Sowing delays are therefore significant. Improvement is expected, but it will need to be closely monitored.

Europe - Does the heatwave appear to be affecting crops in the western part of the continent?

Yes

 Temperatures have been well above average in recent days across a large part of Western Europe ①. Vegetation indices appear to indicate an early onset of crop senescence in recent days, particularly in France ②. This negative trend will need to be confirmed in the coming days.

Europe - Is crop vigor collapsing in Poland and surrounding areas?

No

 The moisture situation remains tight in Poland and surrounding areas, resulting in below-average NDVI values ①. However, at this stage, NDVI values have not shown any significant deterioration in recent days ②. Crops are therefore holding up well. But for how long?

Russia - Is the moisture situation in the spring wheat area satisfactory?

Yes

 Rainfall has been above average in western Volga, eastern Ural, and western Siberia over the past few days ①. Eastern Volga and western Ural, which have remained dry, are expected to receive above-average precipitation in the coming days ②.
